Sedation Dentistry

If you've been afraid of dentistry and have put off dentistry for years we have oral sedation and nitrous oxide. A small pill one hour before treatment will help you relax and feel like you've been asleep during your appointment.

Sedation Dentistry is a safe convenient way to do dentistry without fear and anxiety. Once you have experienced sedation dentistry you will wonder why you were ever afraid of dentistry.

Here is how it works:

You will be given a sedative to take the night before the appointment. At the day of your appointment your companion will bring you to the office one hour before the treatment time. You will be given another pill. There are no IV tubes or needles. It is a safe and easy way to reduce anxiety.

Your vital signs will be monitored by electronic equipment and a trained staff member. You will be given a blanket to make you comfortable. Nitrous oxide may be administered to further aid in sedation.

After you are comfortable and ready for treatment our experienced clinical staff will deliver the necessary dental treatment. You will not be unconscious but will be in a deeply relaxed state. You will be able to respond to our questions. As a benefit of sedation you will have little memory of your dental treatment. It's as if you were "asleep" during the whole time.

After the treatment, your companion will need to drive you home as you will still be sedated. Generally you will go home and have a "quiet" day relaxing at home.

Sedation Dentistry is ideal for people who are afraid of dentistry, have a hard time getting numb, gag easily, who hate needles and embarrassed about their teeth due to long term neglect.
